Sriram Aditya of 'Bhale Manchi Roja' succeeded in convincing four heroes to be part of his second movie, 'Shamanthakamani'. Has this Young Filmmaker done justice to the trust they had on him?

Story :

Krishna (Sudheer Babu) goes to party in a vintage car named 'Shamanthakamani' which was bought by his father in an auction for Rs 5 crore. This luxury vehicle goes missing by the time he steps out of party area. SI Ranjith Kumar (Nara Rohit) handles this missing case. He suspects the role of Krishna (Sudheer Babu), Siva (Sundeep Kishan), Karthik (Aadi), Umamaheswara Rao (Rajendra Prasad) in the theft & grills them one after the other. Watch 'Shamanthakamani' in theaters near you to find out who is the actual culprit!

Performances:

Cop Roles have been a cakewalk for Nara Rohit. He exudes confidence and used all of his experience to create a solid impact. Especially, Climax sequence is where he excelled as an Actor.

Sudheer Babu has done a Serious Role and tried to do something different this time. The only flaw could be his voice.

Though his role doesn't have much screen time, Sundeep Kishan played his part well and makes the proceedings interesting.

Aadi did a boy-next-door kind of role. He appears to be over-enthusiastic in few scenes. But, It must be said that this Young Hero did a decent job.

The character of Rajendra Prasad could have been much better. None of the Female Characters have got any importance. Chandini Chowdary looked gorgeous. Nothing much to say about Genny & Ananya. Indraja, Suman, Tanikella, Raghu Karumanchi and Hema have done justice to their roles.

Technical Aspects:

'Shamanthakamani' is technically sound. Mani Sharma leaves a mark of his own with terrific Background Score. The only song in the movie is okay. Camera Work by Sameer Reddy is a huge asset. Production Values should have been much better. Director Sriram Aditya failed to overcome the 2nd Film Syndrome. Wafer-Thin storyline & lack of strong emotion proved costly. He, however, showed the command he have on screenplay once again. But, The narration isn't racy enough. End product could have been much better had if the First Half wasn't below par.

Plus Points:

  • Story
  • First Half
  • Comedy
  • Hero Performances

Minus Points:

  • Screenplay
  • Climax

Finally My personal opinion about Director And Film :

First things first, There is tremendous buzz around 'Shamanthakamani' since the creative posters and promos were unveiled. Movie Lovers assumed it could be a racy thriller but it's actually a decent crime-comedy. Entertainment & Thrills are two aspects which works wonders for such projects. Sriram Aditya managed to entertain and thrill only to some extent.

First Half of 'Shamanthakamani' is disappointing. The actual story begins in Second Half. Director maintained the suspense with a good Screenplay & thrills the audience the climax. Twists & Turns in the latter half are impressive. However, Lack of enough entertainment & emotional quotient are the biggest drawbacks. Overall, 'Shamanthakamani' is a decent crime comedy!

Rating : 2.75/5

Tagline : Good Movie But  Not Great Movie !.

Final Word: Watchable Movie and  Value For Time Movie.
