The whole World has been waiting for the release of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' since almost two years. Watching Part 2 is more like watching a movie from Interval. Finally, Long wait of Movie Buffs has come to an end now. Has 'Baahubali 2' lived up to the humongous expectations?

Story :

Upon declaration of Amarendra Baahubali as the King of Mahishmati, Sivagami directs him to conduct a countrywide tour to understand the people's issues. That's when Baahubali visits Kuntala Kingdom. Love blossoms between Baahubali and Devasena (Anushka) who is the Princess of Kuntala. Upon knowing about the Love Story of Baahubali, Bhallaladeva receives a promise from Sivagami regarding his marriage with Devasena. A situation arises where Baahubali has to choose one among Mahishmati Kingdom & Devasena. What decision did Baahubali take at this juncture & what consequences did he face? Did Kattappa really killed Baahubali? Has Shivudu fulfilled her Mother's Wish to burn Bhallaladeva alive? Watch the Epic in theatres to know more!

Performances:

Prabhas has given everything for 'Baahubali' franchise. One gets the feeling that a great king should be just like him upon watching the movie. The greatness of 'Baahubali' has been showcased in Part 2 in an elaborate manner. So, Audience will love the character of Amarendra Baahubali even more after watching 'The Conclusion'. Prabhas has been exceptional in emotional and action sequences. However, His voice and look could have been better in few scenes.

After Baahubali, It's the role of Devasena which is so crucial in the movie. Though there might be few complaints about her look, Anushka's performance is flawless and she really surprises in the sequence where she throws a challenge to Sivagami.

Rana impresses as a cunning person. He, however, failed to deliver his best in the sequence post Baahubali's death. Sivagami brings a lot of depth to the story with her performance in the emotional scenes. Yet again, Sathyaraj leaves a mark of his own as Kattappa. But, The attempt to generate some comedy with his character didn't work well. Nasser is brilliant to say the least as Bijjaladeva. Tamanna doesn't have much scope in Part 2. Subbaraju does a fine job playing the key role of Kumara Varma.

Technical Aspects:

MM Keeravani showed his calibre to the fullest with the background score of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'. Be it Heroism-elevation or Emotional or War-field Sequences, BGM is simply top class. In the sequence where the decision to kill Baahubali was taken, Keeravani mesmerizes the audience with his brilliance. However, Songs in 'Baahubali 2' could have been better. Except 'Saaho Baahubali' and 'Dandalayya', Rest of the songs appear pretty ordinary. Cinematographer Senthil Kumar has given a World-class output yet again. Sabu Cyril production design is outstanding. Visual Effects of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' couldn't meet the standards set by Part 1. Story of 'Baahubali 2' is close to what audience expected but it's the conflict between key characters which makes it worth a watch. Vijayendra Prasad deserves credit for it. Dialogues were well written but there were few ordinary ones as well in few sequences. What can be said about Producers or Production Values? Hats off to Shobu & Prasad! Rajamouli focussed mainly on story in 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' and succeeded in narrating the story in a gripping manner. He left a mark of his own in hero-elevation and emotional scenes. He, however, wasn't able to meet the expectations on visual grandeur. Even comedy tracks designed by him weren't impressive. There is a bit of lag in 'Baahubali 2' when compared to Part 1.

Finally My personal opinion about Director And Film :

Team Baahubali mesmerized audience with the Visual Grandeur of 'Baahubali: The Beginning'. At the same time, There is lots of criticism over lack of any story and strong emotion in the Part 1. So, Focus of Rajamouli is more on the actual story in 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' and hence high emotional quotient has been maintained.

On the flip side, Audience will be missing the Visual Grandeur which left them awestruck in 'Baahubali 1'. One gets the feeling that Visual Effects of 'Baahubali 2' isn't on par with Part 1. VFX Work in Kuntala Kingdom episode appear over the top. Pace of the movie is a bit slow particularly in the First Half. Rajamouli couldn't meet the hype over war scenes this time.

Introduction Sequence of Prabhas in 'Baahubali 2' is praise worthy. Rajamouli-mark Heroism elevation sequences will be a feast to watch. Baahubali chants during the pre-Interval Sequence will be remembered for a very long time. Even Bhallaladeva's Raja Darbar scene would hardly make the viewer sit in their seats.

Although audience could predict what happens after the mystery over 'Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?' was revealed, Rajamouli is able to arrest the attention of viewers with the emotional scenes involving all the key characters. He completely satisfied the audience with the execution of this crucial episode. But, The scene were Kattappa kills Baahubali didn't meet the expectations. How could Bhallaladeva cheat someone like Sivagami who is so clever? Confrontation scenes of Sivagami and Devasena look a bit artificial. Romantic Track of Baahubali & Devasena could have been trimmed to some extent.

Soon after the end of Flashback, Focus shifts to the War between Mahendra Baahubali & Bhallaladeva. War strategies of Mahendra Baahubali & the attack he plans against Bhallaladeva were a bit unconvincing. War Sequence don't meet the high expectations set by 'Baahubali: The Beginning'. Neverthless, 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' is a movie which can't be missed as it have plenty to offer.

Rating : 3.25/5
