Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Facebook headquarters in California on 27 September 2015, Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on Sunday.
"I am excited to announce that Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India will be visiting Facebook HQ later this month for a Townhall Q&A," Zuckerberg wrote on his Facebook page.
Mark Zuckerberg said that they will discuss about methods to address social and economic challenges during the meet and invited questions from the public regarding the same. "Prime Minister Modi and I will discuss how communities can work together to address social and economic challenges. We want to hear your questions. Please ask them in the comments below and we'll try to get to as many as possible," he said.
"The event will be on Sunday, September 27 at 9:30am pacific time. I'll post the live video here and it will also be on Prime Minister Modi's page," he wrote.
Modi is scheduled to visit the Silicon Valley between 23 and 28 September. He will attend meetings at the United Nations and also address the Indian community, which is preparing a grand reception, similar to the Madison Square Garden event.Over 20,000 people are expected to participate in the event at the SAP Centre in San Jose on 27 September evening, PTI reported.
